The Little Grey Sheep
Back in December, just over a month ago, we took my little boys to visit the farm where The Little Grey Sheep produce and dye their yarn. It was their open day and their barn was a wonderful, and welcoming yarny heaven full of Christmas cheer.
After a walk around the farm to meet the flock we immersed ourselves in the wonderful array of beautiful yarns, textures and colours. It was this yarn above that we chose to take away with us - the British Hampshire Double Knit in Lemoncello.
My oldest boy (age 5) decided that this was the yarn for him and so we began some garter stitch. His brief attempt at knitting has since been abandoned (I hope only temporarily) but I keep returning to this very special ball of wool. The colour, the hearty texture, the light but rich character makes it a wonderful yarn to behold.
